SCENIC KERALA STATE, INDIA
Kerala is my native state though I am not residing there. But indeed it is one of the best place in India for tourists.
It has the largest lake "Vembanad Lake" crossed by natural rivers and canal-ways. If  instead of political bickering by state politicians and pleasing the unruly worker unions, this lake and canalways are aesthetically made with parks,gardens, fishing and a better houseboat cruise - hey man there could be no other heavenly tourist place better than Kerala in this world.

For the non-vegetarian there is a delicacy called "Karimeen Pollichathu" (Marinated pearl spot fish wrapped up in a banana leaf and steamed till done.)
While this is the theme for Kerala's Tourism, it is still not enough to get the real attention as one of the most unique tourist destination in the world.
