We are  pleased to inform you that SIOM Nasik is organizing a 3 days Faculty Development Training session on “Fundamentals of PhD Thesis: Conceptualization and Social Research Methodology” at its campus On 28th to 30th April 2014.
 
Who should attend workshop?
  • Scholars who are struggling to develop theoretical model and formulate research design
  • Collected data but enable to use it in appropriate way
  • Completed analysis but do not understand how to write a PhD thesis
  • Faculty – any Discipline, Research Scholars, Research guides
Introduction :
This workshop is organized to help the participants familiarize themselves with the dynamic trends of research methodology which would shape their research work in the proper direction. It will address the skills deemed essential for the successful research right from introduction to qualitative and quantitative research methods, ethical practices in research and how to publish and approach for UGC grant.  It aims to guide you in writing an academic article and how to publish it in reputed journals.
 
Objective:
On completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the nature and functions of research.
  • Understand the structure of an academic journal article.
  • Knowledge about ethical practices in Research.
  • Know the process of applying for UGC research grant.
  • Outline the major constraints on analyzing the data.
  • Identify how best to use available sources of publication

  • Learn how to formulate research hypotheses;
  • Learn how to conceptualize research design;
  • Fundamentals of data analysis;
  • Factor Analysis,ANOVA,Multiple Regression Analysis or Structural Equation Modelling,Cluster and Discriminant Analysis;

The Program Facilitator:  Dr.Rameshwar Dubey, DBA (Manufacturing Management),PhD(Operations Management),FIIPE
 
Rameshwar Dubey is presently associated as a full time faculty with Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management and as a visiting professor with Logistics department of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. He is also a secretary of Asian Council of Logistics Management and Executive Council Member of Society of Operations Management to promote Industry and Institute interaction. His teaching and research interest lies in Manufacturing Management, Service Operations Management, Supply Chain Modeling and Design, Humanitarian Supply Chain Design and Performance Measures, Supply Chain Resilience, Soft TQM and Innovation Management. He is also a proud recipient of AIMS-IMT youngest researcher award and faculty award for his dedication in teaching and research by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. He is also nodal in setting International Association of Innovation Professionals chapter in India. He has published works in reputed international journals like IJPR, Benchmarking, TQMBE, The TQM Journal, Optimization Journal, International Journal of Services and Operations Management, International Journal of Innovation Science, OPSEARCH, International Journal of Logistics System and Management, International Journal of Business and Innovation Research, International Journal of Productivity and Quality Management, AIMS International Journal. Beside he is an Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Supply Chain Management System and managing editor of Logistics Today an official refereed journal of Asian Council of Logistics Management. He is also an editorial board member of International Journal of Innovation Science and AIMS International Journal. Beside this he is also a reviewers of reputed journals like “Journal of Supply Chain Management, Benchmarking, AIMS International Journal, Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management, International Journal of Indian Culture and Business Management, International Journal of Innovation Science and IEEE Transactions”.
