This is a national park in the Indian Hilamayas within the state of Uttarakhand. Who could be the creator of this park? The story begins with a British mountaineer, named Frank S. Smythe in 1931 after having made a successful climbing expedition. He was amazed by the variety of wildflowers growing there and in 1937 he came back to collect more than two hundred botanical species. In 1938 he also create a book, titlerd “Valley of Flowers”. From the check post (the Forest Department issues entry permits for this national park).It's about three kilometersto the entrance of the valley of flowers. As the glacial corridor with eight kilometres in length and with two kilometers in width, we can see the beautiful carpet full with wildflowers during the monsoon season. This valley is scenic with the mountains and forests as its beautiful background. Valley of flowers was declared a national park (Nanda Devi National Park) in 1982. Local people know the existence of the valley of flowers, they believe that the place was inhabited by the fairies.
