Letter Seeking Pardon for Ravana, The Great King.
To,

1. H.M. Lord Shri Rama Chandra,
The Crown Prince Of Ayodhya in exile, Yuddhabhumi, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
2. H.M. Godess Sita,
The Crown Princess of Ayodhya in exile, Ashok Vatika, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
3. Shri Lakshmana,
The Prince of Ayodhya in exile, Yuddhabhumi, Colombo,Sri Lanka.

Your Majesty,
RE: Pardon for Ravana.

You would be aware that Ravana has committed the offence of abducting Godess Sita, and to avenge this you are fighting a fierce war with him with the intentions to slay him.

The Legal Position:

Ravana has committed an offence under section 366 of Indian Penal Code 1860 AD.  Killing someone is a cognisable offence under section 302 of IPC, 1860 AD. This also deprives the victim of his fundamental right to freedom of life and personal liberty granted under the Article 21 of our Constitution (which is due to be adopted on 26th January 1950 AD).

Let me also remind you that earlier you had pardoned Parasurama for hurling insult at you during the wedding ceremony at Janakpuri, Mithila, Bihar. Though this news was suppressed by the media which is controlled by the state CM Nitish Kumar, I hope many people are still aware of it.
Now the question is whether pardon should be granted to Ravana or not.  In my opinion pardon should be granted for the following reasons:

(i) He has been suffered a lot since he has abducted Sita Mata. He developed an image of a kidnapper and was criticised by everyone including his own brother Vibhishan.

(ii) He has already suffered so many losses. His garden was destroyed and his golden palace was turned into ashes by Hanuman.

(iii) His father and grandfather were both great sages, and worshipped You all their life.

(iv) He has married and has 1,00,000 children.

(v) He has spread the message of happiness by his loud bursts of laughter like “HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!”

(vi) He also played a religious Sadhu while abducting Sita ji.

It is alleged that I am demanding pardon because he is a King. So let me clarify that it is not true. I am also seeking pardon for his fellow demons fighting you as well. In Kaliyuga circa 21st century AD, I will also seek pardon for rather puny creatures like Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan and many more else. I would not seek pardon for Ravana if he did not deserve it.

Since I am bored searching Sanskrit and English scriptures for quotable lines but I can’t help myself from my habit of quoting, I am quoting here a simple Bollywood song that will be sung in far future, say, circa 20th century AD: “Humka Maafi Dai Do, Humse Bhool Ho Gayi! Humka Maafi Dai Do…
Therefore I order… err… request you to spare Ravana’s life and return with your wife.

Regards,

Yours’ Sincerely,

Hon’ble Mr Justice Katju
The Greatest of The Great,
Hon’ble Chair/Sofa man,
Pardon Council Of India.
