We have also been recognising excellence among tomorrow's managers by awarding the Business Standard Best B-School Project Award,instituted in 2007.
In brief, the Business Standard Best B-School Project Award is a National level competition where institutes nominate ONE project (usually the summer project work) considered to be the best work from the current batch of students, as part of their academics. Over the years, the competition has become fiercer; last year, entries were in excess of 150 from across the country.
It is now that time of the year to announce the Business Standard Best B-School Project Award 2013.

A stake is a place in history, of having won a national-level competition by working on real-life cases, a trophy and certificates, and prize monies of Rs. 1,00,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000 for the first, second and third-placed projects respectively. An additional 5 consolation prizes of Rs. 5000 each will also awarded.

Rules and Regulations governing the Business Standard Best B-School Project award
Eligibility Criteria
1. Open to students of MBA/PGDM or equivalent in all AICTE/NAAC/UGC affiliated Business Schools in India.
2. Open to students pursuing 2 years full time MBA program or equivalent
3. The nominated project must be sent with a covering letter from the institute signed by the Director
4. Projects must be part of the curriculum and academic evaluation process.
5. All projects that are entered should have been done in the current academic year.
6. All projects that are entered should be original works of the students of the institute.
7. Only one nomination will be accepted from each B-School.
8. Direct nomination from students will not be accepted.
9. The nomination must be sent in the prescribed format by the B-School.
10. Executive summary (1500 words max.) to accompany the project both in a printed form and as a soft copy.
11. One printed copy of the project report along with a soft copy (CDs of the project report) to be sent along with the nomination.
12. The decision of the panel of judges will be final.
13. The last date for receiving nominations is September 14, 2013. Entries received after this date will NOT be entered into the competition.
How to Enter

2. Supported Documents required

Project Award Process
1. All entries along with duly filled nomination forms signed by the Institute and received before the deadline will be entered into the competition.
2. Entries will be shortlisted by Deloitte, our knowledge partner.
3. Shortlisted entries will be invited to make a presentation to a jury and a large audience.
4. Project work and presentation skills will be used to arrive at the winner.
General Rules
1. The entire exercise is aimed at recognizing talent that exists amidst future managers. It would be best if the institutes enter the best project work done by their students.
2. Business Standard’s employees & their relatives, employees of its advertising agencies or employees of sponsors will not be eligible to participate.
3. Projects received as part of the competition will not be returned to the student / institutes
4. Shortlisted students will have to come to Mumbai to make a presentation. Boarding and lodging expenses will have to be borne by the students and Business Standard will not bear the expenses incurred.
