Strategic CSR – Moving Beyond Moral Sentiments
May 6 – 8, 2013
For several decades, community development goals were philanthropic activities that were seen as separate from business objectives, not fundamental to them; doing well and doing good were seen as separate pursuits. But that is changing. Today, cutting edge innovation and competitive advantage can result from weaving social and environmental concerns into business strategy. The concept of CSR thus evolved from philanthropy and charity to a more elaborate concept that has now convincingly moved beyond moral sentiments.
The current understanding of CSR attempts to deploy a company’s core competencies to help address society’s problems. New models of CSR are emerging. IMI is organizing a 3-day programme where the participants will have an opportunity to understand and appreciate the underlying concepts of strategic CSR that creates shared value for the society and the organisations. This programme will provide an opportunity to learn from experience of various organizations in public and private sectors and thus help the participants to strategize CSR for making a deep impact on the society.
As you are aware, IMI is a leading and holistic business school engaged in generating, multiplying and transmitting knowledge. Ranked among the top in respect of intellectual capital, IMI takes pride in helping a large number of organizations in their leadership and talent development initiatives.
We look forward to receiving nominations of a team of executives preferably from CSR, HR, Finance and Line functions of your organization for participation in the programme. We are confident that this programme will be of immense interest to your executives.
The above program brochure containing details regarding objectives, coverage and methodology is attached for your kind information and necessary action.
