General Guidelines for Usage of Credit Cards- Precautions

1- Insist for Photo Signature Credit Card - Almost all provide photo signature card with no charge- You have to make request for the same.- This will prevent frauds taking place on Swiping system to some extent.

2- Note CVV number printed on the back side separately. CVV number is required only for Online transaction and not for swipe / cash withdrawal. Scratch / block /delete CVV number on permanent basis and paste sticker on CVV number. This will prevent CVV number being noted at places where swiping of cards are being done. ( Petrol Bunks, Hotels etc., )

3- Do not disclose credit card and CVV details either online or by signing on any form to any merchant in India / Overseas authorising direct debit of any amount without 3D secure verification procedure.. ( Merchants like Matrix ( India ) , App Store ( Overseas ) ) are allowed  for direct debit by RBI if full details of  Credit cards are there. This can be misused by anybody ... 

4- It will be better if request is made to Credit Card company not to allow any direct debit without use of 3D secure verification procedure or Swiping of credit card. 

5- Do not disclose credit card details, CVV details, 3D secure password to any person including your staff etc., 

6- It is better to do self online transactions and not depend on others..
