OpenMP in embedded multicore systems
Dr. Eric Stotzer, senior member technical staff at TI
Multicore processors offer higher performance with lower power
consumption, and are increasingly being used in embedded applications.
As multicore hardware enables more functions to be implemented on the
same device, software for embedded systems becomes more complex. A
high-level programming model, such as OpenMP, has the potential to
increase programmer productivity, and reduce design and development
costs for embedded systems.
